2018
The Founding Vision
Gowuku was established by a group of educators and technologists who saw a critical gap: Canadians needed high-quality, professionally relevant online learning that spoke to their context — not content built for another market. The first five courses launched from a small office in Toronto.
2020
National Expansion
As remote learning surged across the country, Gowuku responded by expanding its catalogue to over 80 courses across technology, business, creative arts, and health & wellness. Learner enrolments tripled in under twelve months, reaching learners from Yukon to Prince Edward Island.
2022
Certification Recognition
Gowuku certificates became recognized by over 40 Canadian employers and professional associations. A dedicated industry partnership programme was launched, co-developing courses directly with sector leaders to ensure graduates possessed immediately deployable, employer-validated skills.
